Personalized one-on-one instruction for students of all levels.
Private lessons are available by appointment in China and Tokyo, Japan, with instruction offered in both Mandarin Chinese and English. Students can learn Yanbusi and Handpan performance, including fundamental techniques, rhythm training, improvisation, musical expression, and creative development.
Lesson schedules and locations are arranged individually and require advance booking. Whether you are a complete beginner or an experienced musician, each session is tailored to your personal goals and learning pace.

Live performances
Sany Yan is an internationally active musician, instrument inventor, and sound artist. As one of China’s pioneering Handpan performers, he became the first artist to perform the Handpan at Beijing National Stadium (The Bird’s Nest), has appeared on CCTV, and participated in professional album recordings.
Having represented China in cultural exchange performances in Japan and the United Kingdom, and serving as a Guest Artist of the Hong Kong Chinese Orchestra, Sany Yan brings a unique blend of Yanbusi, Handpan, world music, improvisation, and contemporary sound art to audiences worldwide.

Through the Ling Instruments brand and the original Yanbusi instrument, we actively seek partners for instrument distribution, educational programs, artistic projects, academic research, and innovative applications of sound and music.
Sany Yan has collaborated with leading educators and institutions, including curriculum development projects with professors from Beijing Normal University and research initiatives with Xinghai Conservatory of Music exploring the applications of Handpan sound in education and human development.
Beyond commercial partnerships, we encourage exploratory collaborations in music education, creativity, well-being, community engagement, and interdisciplinary research.
Social responsibility is also at the heart of our mission. As the founder of one of China’s earliest Handpan brands, Sany Yan established independent charitable initiatives and co-founded the “Love Without Sound” project with the Chongqing Red Cross Society, supporting annual fundraising and donation programs for communities in need.
